Delete your account
You can delete your JORN account and the personal data associated with it at any time, in two ways: directly from the app (instant) or by requesting it by email.
Option 1 — Delete from the app (instant)
- Open JORN and sign in with the account you want to delete.
- Go to Settings → Edit profile.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
Deletion is immediate: your account and the data synced with it (profile, time entries and related settings) are removed from our servers, and local data is removed from the device.
Option 2 — Request deletion by email
If you cannot access the app, request deletion by email:
- Send a message from the email address associated with your account to [email protected].
- Use Delete JORN account as the subject.
- Include the email address you registered with in JORN.
We use the address to verify that you are the account owner. Once verified, we delete the account and its data within a reasonable period and confirm it by reply.
What data is deleted
- The user account associated with JORN.
- The user profile linked to the account.
- Synchronized data associated with the account, including time entries and related profile settings.
What may be kept temporarily
- Minimal technical records required for security, abuse prevention and incident resolution.
- Information that must be kept temporarily to comply with applicable legal obligations.
Important information
- Account deletion is irreversible.
- If you have an active subscription, deleting your account does not replace cancelling the subscription in Google Play. Cancel it there first if you want to stop future charges.
- If you use JORN as a guest (without an account), there is no account to delete: guest data stays on your device and you can remove it by clearing the app's data or uninstalling.
